Ardmore Park Gym, Singapore
The Ardmore Park is a luxurious residential development located in the heart of Singapore’s prime district.
HBO+EMTB was appointed as the design consultant in the expansion of its clubhouse gym. The project involved converting two unused areas adjoining the existing gym into an extended cardio area and also a sports bar.
A key consideration in the design process was the profile and usage of a typical gym-user. A timber screen was designed to demarcate the warm-up and stretching areas and separate it from the main workout areas, granting users partial privacy. Located beside full-length windows, it allows the user to stretch and relax whilst taking in lush views of the greenery that surrounds the clubhouse. Furniture and finishes chosen for the sports bar were carefully considered so as to replicate the luxurious and exclusive feel of this private development.
