HBO+EMTB completed the fitout of this 20,000sqm, multi-purpose facility which houses the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Information Technology, the Graduate School of Business, the Postgraduate Lounge and various administration departments.

The brief called for a durable, quality fit out with the necessary flexibility to respond to fluctuating staff numbers and new technology. The completed facility incorporates lecture theatres of various sizes, computer laboratories, seminar and meeting rooms, successfully accommodating a diversity of end users including academics, PhD students, researchers and administration staff.

HBO+EMTB’s design solution signals a shift from the traditional, institutional nature of teaching spaces to a more progressive, corporate environment, similar to that which postgraduate users are familiar with in their day to day professions.
