HBO+EMTB instigated a new direction in contemporary hotel design for Hilton International and has been recommissioned for Hilton Auckland’s refurbishment program.
The recent refurbishment program involved the creation of a new Presidential Suite, and refurbishment of all guestrooms, Bowrooms and the Bellini Bar. The design was acknowledged with Bronze in the Spatial Design category of the 2007 Best Awards.
The interior design of Hilton Auckland, a 167-room hotel stunningly located on Princes Wharf, features a continuous flow, creating an intimate and comfortable atmosphere.
HBO+EMTB’s original delivery involved the integrated fitout of all guest rooms, public spaces, lobby and conference facilities. By bringing the view inside, the design responds to the Hotel’s wharf-side location with further local references made through a showcase of work by young contemporary New Zealand artists.
Hilton Auckland’s new direction received extensive industry recognition. The design solution exceeded Hilton’s commercial objectives for the project, with function facilities surpassing budget expectations.
