Transmission Lines Visual Assessment, Sydney Australia

HBO+EMTB were commissioned to prepare the visual assessment component of an EIS for the expansion of Integral Energys' 9JE feeder in Sydneys west. The work involved developing a methodology to investigate and assess the varied landscape character within the area, the capacity of different parts of the area to visually absorb new development, and the relative visibility of those new structures within the landscape. We were engaged to evaluate different route and structure options, to contribute towards the selection of a preferred option, and to provide advice on mitigation to minimise visual impact.
