Williams Landing Train Station
Melbourne, Australia

Client:
Department of Transport, Victoria
Size:
11,000sqm
Disciplines:
Architecture, Landscape Design

The Williams Landing project is a new premium station and new overpass to provide transport access to Williams Landing, one of Melbourne’s growing suburbs. This new overpass will link the station and Williams Landing development with the Princes Freeway and Point Cook and will help serve the growing community’s current and future transport needs.

The new station features an island platform between existing passenger rail lines, a new bus terminal and a taxi rank as well as a park and ride facility with approximately 500 spaces, and drop-off zones. Pedestrian access is provided across the rail line and Princes Freeway via a footbridge facility for cyclists. Cyclists and pedestrians are further accommodated on the new road overpass, which incorporates a three-metre wide off-road shared bicycle and pedestrian path.
