HBO+EMTB were commissioned by the State of Kuwait for the compilation and formulation of a brief and detailed departmental accommodation schedule for its 89,000sqm Faculty of Administrative, Educational and Student Services buildings.
The project, undertaken for the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), involved stakeholder interviews, analysis of questionnaire responses, and creation of detailed departmental and faculty requirements and accommodation schedules, adjacency matrices, stacking and workplace organisation diagrams.
These studies also considered departmental and inter-departmental configurations and adjacencies mindful of future curriculum changes, a 4% annual student headcount expansion and a 1.5% annual staff number expansion up to 2020.
HBO+EMTB’s commission also included the formulation of a campus design brief and architectural design guidelines.
